The Paul App
The Perfect Wake up
Light exposure has been shown to regulate your circadian rhythm — your body's internal clock. Intentional sun exposure has been shown to increase alertness, boost mood, lower stress, and improve sleep quality. (Lomas, 2023)
To prevent the abrupt awakening caused by alarms, a gentle vibration will gradually begin five minutes before your alarm time, gradually increasing in intensity until fully alerting you.
By the time your alarm goes off, you should be prepared to rise and start your day. If you're still not up, the alarm will play soothing sounds or music to gently encourage you out of bed.

Project Overview
This product cares about how you wake up and – more importantly – how you feel when you wake up. Unlike conventional alarm clocks that wake you up abruptly, this product will make sure you wake up feeling your best.
Aims
This product will be a revolutionary alarm clock, focusing on having a healthy wake up that leaves you fresh and ready to start your day, while also ensuring you get out of bed on time. However, the product benefits don’t stop there – it aims to be more than just an ordinary alarm clock.
Insights
Problem: How many times have you woken up in the morning, only to hit the snooze button repeatedly, leaving you feeling more tired and rushed?
Solution: In order to combat this, I created the Pebble—a small device that you set aside. When your alarm goes off in the morning, you must get out of bed, grab the Pebble, and place it back to turn the alarm off. This idea stemmed from my interviews where people expressed that "sometimes the hardest thing is getting out of bed."Problem: Conventional alarm clocks cause abrupt wake-ups, leaving you feeling more tired.
Solution: Employing a combination of sunrise simulation and gentle vibration to ease into waking, research has demonstrated that awakening to light can trigger the release of melatonin, enhancing your morning experience by leaving you feeling more refreshed and alert.Problem: People recognize that their alarm clocks influence how they feel in the morning and seek a superior solution. However, the convenience of using a phone alarm often prevails. Additionally, they find traditional alarm clocks too cumbersome, especially when waking up at varying times each day.
Solution: Enable an integrated app that allows users to control their alarm clock from their phone, granting them the convenience of setting alarms just as they would on their phone.
